Mired in the Minutia; Focus on the economy

With all due respect to the vietnam vets and all other vets, the Republicans have succeeded in pulling us Dems totally off message with this Swift boat issue. While it is an important issue, the average person here is Florida see Kerry as caring more about what went on 20 years ago than what is happening right now.
And the more the Repub's can drag this issue out, the more the focus stays on this issue and not the issue of how bad Bush's performance has been.The economy is worse that we we have ever seen, and the lack of attention on the economic issue makes it seem like Bush's claims of a recovery are correct. And they are not.
If Kerry focuses back on the ecomony and asks the American people if we are better off now than 4 years ago I predit we will see Kerry take a lead in the polls. We need to start beating this drum more loudly and not stop until the election.
If we stay on this Swift boat issue and keep playing into the Republican's strategy of pulling us off message by distracting us and making us focus on an issue of 20 years ago, they win.
They do this every time, they get their opponents "Mired in the Minutia" and they win.So with all respect to the Vets- lets get the focus back on Bush terrible record of no jobs and no health care. We are afraid, but we're afraid we aren't going to be able to provide for our families.
